Jammu, Aug 10: Pursuant to the directions of court of special judge, anti-corruption, Srinagar, passed in the final report (Ikhtitami) of case FIR No 26/2002 registered at Kargil police station under section 5(2) of P C Act, GAD today transferred the case of illegal appointments allegedly made by a Medical Superintendent to the Vigilance Organisation, Kashmir (VOK). The case was transferred to VOK by GAD with the approval of the competent authority vide No GAD(Vig)08 on July 29, 2016. Accordingly, the investigation of the case was taken up by VOK. The case FIR No 26/2002 was initially registered at Kargil police station for offence under section 5(2) of P C Act against Dr Ghulam Nabi Dar, then Medical Superintendent of District Hospital, Kargil, for allegedly making illegal appointments in 1994. The investigating agency had recommended departmental action against the Medical Superintendent and simultaneously the investigation of the case was closed as "not admitted" and the final report in the shape of 'Ikhtitami' was presented in the court of special judge, anti-corruption, Srinagar. The court, vide its March 3, 2015 order while disagreeing with the investigation had returned the final report to the concerned police station for referring the matter to the appropriate agency (vigilance organization) for further investigation. |
