Misdoings of Municipal Committee taking toll on public health | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Aug 10: Due to the unprofessional and careless approach adopted by the employees of Municipal Committee Rajouri in connection to rendering their official services, the people of town are suffering badly. It is to be mentioned here that from General Bus Stand, Rajouri to main markets and in the adjoining markets, the roads and streets are illegally and forcefully encroached by some influential businessmen of the area with the alleged involvement of the Municipal Committee as number of times the issue has been raised before the concerned officials but nothing has been done to give relief to the general public of the area. Besides this, one can also see dumps of garbages in the whole market area which has posed a great health and sanitation issues. Where on one side the BJP led Central Government is claiming to achieve the target of Swachh Bharat, on the other one can see the bad to worse condition of civic sense. It is also surprising that this town has a good political representation in the government but no ruling political leader has given heed towards this issue of public concern. The locals of the areas and few social organizations has apprised that whenever they ask the rehariwalas and shopkeeper not to encroach the market place they says that they give the Hafta money to the municipality and it's better to talk with them. The matter has also been brought into the notice of higher ups but they also close their eyes from this issue. People also alleged that the municipality members burn the garbage on the road side near the city which also causes a lot of problems to the passersby. The locals of the areas through our correspondent made an appeal to the higher officials to solve their problems failing which they will be forced to launch a massive public protest against the misdoings of municipal committee of Rajouri. |
