Ansal Buildwell alleged of robbing crores from 72 Jammuites

Jammu Aug 10: Members of Florence Apartment Housing Society, Trikuta Nagar Jammu today accused Gopal Ansal & his Associates namely Rajeev Kalia, Rajeev Chawla, Chetan Gupta, Vishal Sahgal & others in booking and sale of residential flats at Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. In a press conference held at Jhelum resort Bahu Plaza Jammu to highlight their grievances, the members of Florence Apartment Housing Society, Trikuta Nagar Jammu today said, "M/s Ansal Buildwell Ltd , New Delhi, through Gopal Ansal MD of the company, signed a collaborated agreement with Kulbushan Gupta land owner and businessmen of Jammu to construct and Sell multistory flats to local buyers." "The terms & condition of the agreement were neither made to public or to the flat buyers, but it was informed to the buyers by the sale manager that all the powers were vested to ABL starting from advertisement, booking, construction, and delivering of possession including registration of the flats, they said, adding, "The price of the flats were also fixed by ABL (Ansal Buildwell Ltd). They alleged, "The ignorant buyers were allured by the company through their advertised Brochure & commission agents and thus booked the flats after paying the fixed price against each flat .i.e. 2BHK and 3BHK respectively." "In the allotment letter it was mentioned that the cost of the flat is to be deposited in the name of Kulbhushan Gupta on the account of Florence apartment. It was promised that flats will be completed within specified period, they said. Speakers alleged that after collecting 20-25 Crores of rupees from buyers the company instead of completing the project utilized the money in increasing their business elsewhere and project was delayed for 7-8 years while leaving the buyers in waiting till to date. They appealed to the State Govt to adopt the real estate bill passed by the parliament and appoint executive agencies as well as police to book such defaulters and put them behind the bars for providing justice to the buyers those have become homeless and need immediate shelter. Here it needs to mention that the Crime Branch Jammu has taken a serious note of the matter and has registered two cases against acclaimed construction companies including Royal Palms and Ansal Buildwell who allegedly had duped 270 investors on March 29. Crime Branch booked one Amar Nath Choudhary s/o Ch Jagat Ram, Radhay Shayam s/o Amar Nath, Mohni Devi w/o Amar Nath, all residents of Canal Road Jammu along with M/S Ridhi Sidhi infra Projects Pvt Ltd- the company developing residential flats in the name and style of Royal Palms at Akhnoor Road Jammu, under section 420,406/120 B RPC after one of the investors Nisha Malik r/o Hyderpora, Srinagar lodged complaint that she was duped of Rs 26,13,170 as after paying amount the owners are not providing legal documents and possession of 2BHK flats she had booked. However, during investigation, CB realized that not only she there are two hundred other investors who have been duped of Crores of rupees.
