One day workshop organized for media | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sep 6: One day workshop was organized by Save the Children in Jammu to sensitizing the media on Juvenile Justice Act. Media were sensitized on different aspects of JJ Act. Vikram Srivastava (senior advocate) from Delhi and Devendra Tak General Manager, Media and Communication, Save the Children was the resource person for the workshop. Sharif Bhat, General Manager, Save the Children welcomed all the participants and emphasis on the need of implementation of JJ Act in the state. Devendra Tak gave presentation on save the children and their media work in the country. Vikram sensitized the working journalist on J J Act and presented over view of it. He emphasized the importance of media in implementing JJ Act. He briefed media on the procedures, mechanism and process of JJ Act. JJ Act deals with children in need of care and protection and children in conflict with law. The workshop was attended by media organizations working in Jammu.
