Palanger residents protest against shortage of water 9/6/2016 11:15:06 PM Early Times Report Rajouri Sept 6: Alleging that they are being deliberately being ignored by PHE department against some selected people, the irate residents of Palanger Thanamandi today protested against the PHE department alleging they are deprived of regular water supply on the direction of officers who are busy to appease some politicians. Raising slogans against PHE authorities, a large number of residents of the village particularly women and children today assembled at main road and staged protest against concerned officials for ignoring their sufferings in the absence of proper water supply. The protestors also alleged that they are against some PHE workers who charge money for supplying water while ignoring common people as clear cut violation of law and rights of common man to basic amenities. They demanded action against the concerned officials for not restoring water supply in the area. "Even after our repeated requests the concerned officials did nothing for restoring water supply. They also said that some influential have managed more than one connections by greasing palms of the officials concerned who for some material gains ignore common masses of Palanger. Protestors have urged PHE minister to intervene and transfer all local employees and depute non locals because local employees are working under the influence of some selected politicians and distributing during routine supply They demanded action against the concerned officials for not restoring water supply in the area.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
