Separatists aided by Pak and militants turned down offer of talks 9/6/2016 11:16:22 PM With a clear support from Pakistan and militant aided separatists most of the separatists turned down an offer from members of All Party delegation. for talks.In fact soon after the senior leaders of various political parties,including Sitaram Yechury of CPI(M) D.Raja(CPI),Sharad Yadav of the JD(U) and others went on their own to have a meeting with senior separatist, Syed Ali Shah Geelani.It was unfortunate that Geelani did not allow them entry into his house conveying to them that he was not prepared to hold talks.The treatment meted out to some political leaders from Delhi was on the lines similar to the given by Geelani. The members of the delegation about 139 from 20 parties had landed in Srinagar on Sunday Even senior leaders of CPIM,CPI and JD(U) visited their residence of Syed Ali Shah Geelani they were sent back with a word from Geelani that he was not prepared to meet them because there could be no possible solution to the issue It was destined because Pakistan had promised added moral material and diplomatic aid to them provided they spurn talks offer.Yes they could meet some moderate leaders but they too expressed helplessness because of the size of the violence. Everyone knows that people have been shouting Azadi on the roads for those who want to listen and writing on walls and placards for those who can see. The dirty ambitions of the "collaborators" and their "masters" in Delhi have turned them deaf and blind," they said.Taking a dig at Mehbooba for her recent outbursts, the leaders said, "The sickness of her mind touched a new low when she tried to justify the Indian brutalities by saying that Kashmiri boys don't go out to the camps with milk and toffees. They should not have forgotten that a terrorised population cannot greet an occupation army but with stones like people should not visit Army camps for buying milk or chocolates.It was her pun. Members met some moderate separatists, including Prof. Abdul Gani Bhat but they also expressed helplessness because of the size of the violence.. A day after Mehbooba invited separatists in her capacity as PDP chief, separatist leaders Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq (both of separate Hurriyat Conference factions) and JKLF chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik issued a joint statement here, rubbishing her and her offer. They said nobody is more aware than Mehbooba that the "Indian war machine is on a spree to kill, maim and disfigure an entire population into complete submission for demanding freedom, which is the birth right of all human beings. Unfortunately Indian forces in J&K have a fig-leaf available in the shape of a quisling government fronted by her with the only brief to provide a civilian mask to a brutal military occupation.
