| Wrestling championship concludes | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Nov 6: Kathua District Indian Style Wrestling Championship was organized by Kathua District Indian Style Wrestling Association under the aegis of J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association duly sponsored by J&K State Sports Council held at Bowelian near Ram Leela Ground, Kathua under the overall supervision of General Secretary J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association Bansi Lal Tidyal.
More than 36 wrestlers participate in seven weight categories i.e. 46Kg, 50Kg, 55Kg, 61Kg, 67Kg, 75Kg, and 85Kg.
Vice-Chairman Kathua District Sports Council Rajinder Singh (Babli) and Physical Education Master Kuldeep Singh were the guests of honour.
The final results are as follows: In 46 kg: Bar Din stood 1st whereas Kaka Singh stood 2nd , in 50 kg: Maskeen ali stood 1st Kuldeep Singh stood 2nd and 3rd position was grabbed by Bhag Hussain, in 55kg: Nazir Ahmed stood 1st Shubham kumar stood 2nd and 3rd position was grabbed by Amit Kumar, in 61 kg : Bupinder Singh stood 1st Sadam Hussain stood 2nd Jatin Gupta stood 3rd and 4th position was grabbed by Saelam Hussain, in 67kg : Kamal Kumar stood 1st Jai Karan Singh stood 2nd Akshay Kumar stood 3rd and Teg Ali stood 4th , in 75 kg Zakir Ali stood 1st and Anwar Ali stood 2nd , in 85kg : Saurav Badwal stood 1st and 2nd position was clinched by Vijay Singh Chaudhary.
Overall Championship was won by Kumbri Kathera Akhara Kathua. |
