| G L S organized first of its kind of grand marathon event | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 6: G L S Memorial Society of Education & Research organized Jammu "Hill Marathon" 2016 today in Jammu city at M A Stadium.
Runners from across the country participated in this event. Even a foreigner namely, Vladimir Hladik participated in this event. The route of the marathon is one of the most scenic and most challenging routes in the country.
The organizing team was led by Gurpreet Singh, Administrator of G L S Public School and Rahul Sharma. Rahul is a psychologist, journalist and a social worker. Jammu "Hill Marathon" was dedicated to the valiant soldiers of our country, the National Heroes from Army, BSF, Airforce, CRPF, Navy & police, serving or retired, living or martyred, who risk and sacrifice their precious lives to guard our country against internal and external threats.
The event was supported by Jammu & Kashmir Tourism and so the logo of the event reads - J&K Tourism Jammu "Hill Marathon". Medical camp was organized at the event by team of doctors from Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu. Medical support was also given by G M C, Jammu. The organizers are very thankful to the district administration for all the support. The organizers also thanked their partners for the support.
Early Times newspaper was the Print Media Partner of Jammu "Hill Marathon" 2016, Decathlon Sports Superstore (Amritsar) was the Sports Partner, Women Alive Aerobics Centre was the Fitness Partner and Body Engineers was the Zumba Partner.
The event was also supported by French Club as they provided a team of volunteers who managed the event so well and Brand Advento, Chandigarh was the Advertisement Partner. |
