Ramban, Nov 6: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ramban Mohammad Aijaz chaired a meeting of district briefing and debriefing organized by District Health Society Ramban with members of 10th Common Review Mission Team (CRM) here today. While speaking on the occasion DDC assured the visiting team for every possible support for the purpose during their stay in district. He disclosed that NHM was started in the district in February 2006 under erstwhile Doda District Health Society. Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Ramban Anwar Bhat gave details of district profile and other related information through power point presentation. Team was informed that four medical blocks including Banihal, Batote, Ukharal and Gool are functioning to provide health care facility to near 3 lakh population, 121 health institutions working which includes one DH, three Community Health Centre, nine Primary Health Centres, twenty one news Primary Health Centres, seventy Sub Centres, seventeen new Sub Centres besides twenty three Rogi Kalyan Simities are functioning in the district. Team also took stock of staff position in health institutions especially of rural areas. It was also informed that apart from assigned duties, field staff is frequently visiting for the checkup of migratory population at higher altitude. The team further briefed on the status of rural infrastructure, available accommodation and other construction works of different health institutions in district. Among other present were team members including Dr Satish Kumar, Dr Tanu Kathuria, Dr. Sonia Luna, Jenita Khawairakpam, Dr. Sandeep Chauhan, Dr, Shariq Ali Khan, Lakshmi Parvathy, Vandana Chaudhary. State Nodal Officer ASHA, Dy. CMO, MS, District Nodal Officer ISM Ramban, District Health Officer Ramban, BMOs and other officers. |
