Poonch, Nov 6: While overloading has been going on unabated on the Parade-Banvat route here, the authorities concerned continue to be in deep slumber. "With every passing day, traffic scene on Parade-Banvat route is getting chaotic with overloaded Tata sumos breaking all traffic rules," said locals. The overloading had increased after stopping the bus service on this route, they added, saying that overloaded Tata sumos, autorikshas and buses on it and the Ajote-Jhulas road could be seen at any given time. Against their capacity of seven passengers, Tata sumos could be seen carrying 19 passengers, locals claimed, alleging that all this was happening under the nose of transport department and traffic police. They appealed to the transport minister and home department to look into the matter and make sure that there was no overloading of vehicles in Poonch district. |
