BUF protests against MoS PMO, Dy CM, MLA Hiranagar, allege neglecting border people

Kathua, Nov 6: A large number of people hailing from International border area Hiranagar sector today came out of their houses and staged huge protest under the leadership of president of Border United Front BUF president Ashok Sharma and expressed strong anguish against Jitendra Singh MoS PMO who is also Member of Parliament Kathua-Udhampur constituency and said the union minister inaugurated model Higher secondary status for Buddhi Government Higher secondary and adopted the village but did not pay even short tour of border areas wherein people are suffering from last few months.
Ashok Sharma said," Hundreds of people left their houses, migrated to relative’s houses, harvesting of paddy crop affected, many animals and human beings got major injuries, study of students is affected but the minister does not bother and went back from a function just few miles from border area."
Sharma said that Dy Chief Minister visited in with his party leaders at Chakara but did not feel necessity to ask grievances of cross border shelling affected people who lives in miserably life and unsure about their future.
Ghan Sham Sharma, another member of organization, said," These leaders approached border people day & Night during election campaigns , made chest throbbing claims for development and betterment of border people but now they would feel insult to interact with border people that today triggered resentment against these selfish leaders."
Jagdish Raj said, "Border people made way for BJP to come in government but now party would forget to make career of border youth as party made promise for special recruitment in army for border youth but nothing has been done at ground level."
The protesters demanded 5 Marla plot individually not community shelter, special recruitment rally for Army/ Para military forces, construction of bunkers in each house of border villages, especial health centers, 5% Reservation of border people in recruitment, compensation to farmers who could not harvest their ready paddy crop at zero line,relaxation in 10th & 12th class examinations and regular visit of representative sitting in government.
Ashok Sharma said, "Problems of border people must be raised in JK assembly in coming session otherwise a large number of agitations will begin to redress long pending demands of border people.
