Eco Riders distributes free plants

Jammu, Nov 7: Eco Riders (a Social and Green Organisation) organiged a plant booth inside the JKACCL premises and distributed free of cost plants with objective to breathe fresh air at home which is not available outside.
While members of Eco Riders explained the objective behind the drive were to contribute their mite in making environment clean, green and healthy, to enhance the horticulture in state to which its climate and soil best suited for, to uplift the socio economic level of the state enabling the poor to generate their livelihood through hybrid fruit trees and medicinal plants and to educate the students class from tender age and to common people the significance of saving environment.
They also said as per the information provided through document, the pollution situation is alarming and it is responsible for 50% deaths in India and China to which India contributes 1.5 million out of 7 million annually in the world (WHO). Around 98% cities in developing and undeveloping countries do not meet WHO air quality standards.
