Vice Chairman JKSABDK given warm welcome 11/7/2016 10:23:00 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 7: A welcome function was organized today by the progressive farmers in honor of Daljit Singh Chib, , Vice Chairman, J&K State Advisory Board for Development of Kisans. While appreciating and thanking the farmers for their love and affection the Vice Chairman stated that the objective of the Kisan Board is to reach the farmers at grass root level and to see their problems so that their socioeconomic condition is made better. He apprised the farmers about the Kisan Melas which were conducted recently in Poonch, Leh and Kargil and informed that Board is going to organize many such Kisan Melas and Awareness Camps in other places of the State in collaboration with the Agriculture and Allied departments. He further informed that by the intervention of the Kisan Board , Government of India has agreed to impalement the long pending demand of the farmers for whether based agriculture insurance in J&K State. He also disclosed that he has taken up the matter with the Chairman of the Board (Hon'ble Chief Minister) Mehbooba Mufti for directing all the fertilizer companies dealing in J&K State for adopting the villages throughout the State in a phased manner by providing fertilizers and seeds free of Cost.
