Jammu, Nov 7: A delegation of Gujjar and Bakarwals from Sunderbani called on Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee ( PCC) Chief GA Mir and former MLC and Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma at PCC HQ Jammu. According to press release the delegation members highlighted their problems regarding undue harassment to them by the administration, especially forest department regarding their rights over the revenue lands which are under their use since several decades and demanded that fair enquiry should be conducted into the status of lands with them.
The delegation comprises of Ch. Mohd. Sabir, Ch. Mohd. Ishtiq, Ch. Gulzar Hussian, Nazir Hussian, Mohd. Bashir, Mohd. Isaq, Mohd. Aslam, Muneer Hussian, Mohd. Shabir, and Anwar Hussian. They also highlighted their problems including water and ration supply and power supply. The Bakarwal are not getting ration while Adhar cards are not been issued to all , as a result they are facing hardship and there are several mistakes in Aadhar Cards. They also highlighted the problem of mid day meal. |
