Jammu, Nov 7: The members of All Migrant Employees Association Kashmir (AMEAK) today organized a massive show of strength with hundreds of migrant employees participating even as the Member Legislative Council Surender Ambardar along with BJP Displaced Cell President Chand Ji Bhat and other office bearers joined them to protest government apathy towards Kashmiri Pandits. The protest was organized on the 117th day of continuous protest while the symbolic chain hunger strike by employees also entered 11th day today with government continuing to turn a deaf ear to their miseries. Hundreds of employees turned up in the protest organized by AMEAK and fully supported by All Parties Migrants Coordination Committee (APMCC) from day one to register their protest and dismay on the re-opening of the 'Darbar' in Jammu. APMCC Chairman Vinod Pandit, Senior Journalist and National Spokesperson King C Bharati, alongwith agitating employees castigated the governed for not being sensitive towards Kashmiri Pandit community ignoring the fact that employees were on dharna for the past 117 days but no official ever tried to meet them. Speaking on the occasion Surender Ambardar MLC said that they have given enough time to the government but it seems the government was insensitive towards the KP issue adding that if the government continues to ignore Pandits they will have to show their real strength very soon. Meanwhile Vinod Pandit while addressing the employees asked them to prepare for an aggressive agitation as government does not seem serious towards their plight adding APMCC will soon organize a bigger agitation and road shows in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and other parts of the country. |
