Jammu, Nov 7: A joint meeting of members/coordinators of Gram Vikas Sangh (GVS) was held at Jammu wherein threadbare discussions were held with regard to their meetings with the Director Agriculture Jammu, Director Social Forestry.
As per press release, the members informed that about the resolutions passed during the meetings like instructions to the Chief Agriculture officer Jammu/Samba for involving GVS members/Coordinators in the implementation of various schemes introduced by the central as well as the State Government for the Welfare of the farmer community and creating a networking between the GVS members and authorities from the Department of Agriculture from top to bottom. They urged the Director Social Forestry, J&K State A.K. Tikkoo, for adopting positive attitude with respect to the discussion held with the chairman GVS, OP Gupta who was also accompanied by Gopal Dass Sharma, DFO, retired, and consented to provide technical advice to the organisation so for as plantation activities are to be extended in the schools with the involvement of Department of Social Forestry. |
