Early Times Report Doda, Nov 7: During the joint operation by security forces, a major terrorist hideout was busted in Baiyaru Padar Forest (Dharamkot) of Bhaderwah area of Doda district in Jammu today. A huge quantity of war like stores were unearthed from the hideout of terrorists. Based on a specific inputs a massive joint search operation was launched in the highly dense and thick jungle of Baiyaru Padar on the higher ridges of Bhadarwah. Defence spokesman said that a huge cache of war like stores comprising of arms, ammunition, equipment and logistic support items were found concealed in a natural cave next to a water source. The major items included one AK-47 rifle, one 9mm Chinese Pistol, 22 UBGL grenades, one 12 Bore Gun, four rounds of 12 Bore Gun, 11 AK 47 magazines, 1620 AK-47 rounds, one AK-47 Silencer, three 9mm Chinese Pistol magazines, 15 rounds of 9mm Chinese Pistol, four RPG Rounds, 110 rounds of 10mm, 150 rounds of Pikka gun, eight Chinese grenades, Hand Grenades No 36 - 10, 11 Detonator, two IED Fuse alongwith large amount of sustenance stores. The recovery of this cache is in continuation of sustained efforts of security forces towards dismantling the terrorist infrastructure and support bases. |
