Jan calls for revision of PMUY lists as BPL families missing | | | Early Times Report Poonch, Nov 7: Alleging mass level favouritism while framing the fresh revised lists of Below Poverty Line people, Youth National Conference Provincial president, Ajaz Jan has called for revising the lists of BPL as well as PMUY as names of genuine families are missing from the lists of Pradhan Mantri Ujwala Yojna. According to press release, a number of public representatives from different panchayats of Poonch district called upon YNC Provincial President Ajaz Jan and raised the issue of discrepancies in BPL lists. Locals informed that earlier several poor families were missed out from BPL revised lists and now a number of genuine BPL families have gone missing from PMUY lists under which subsidized gas connections are to be provided to the people. "This seem a conspiracy to hit the poor people and to adjust blue eyed people in their place in BPL and PMUY lists " locals said. On this very issue YNC Provincial President Ajaz Jan called upon Deputy Commissioner Poonch and highlighted the issued. "Administration should revise both BPL and PMUY lists as , poor families are missing from BPL lists and also from PMUY lists " Jan demanded before DC Poonch. In a press statement issued later on, he stated that removing any poor family from BPL lists is rights violation of poor people and administration should pay concern to this. He also said that majority of the BPL people are deprived from the benefit of PMUY and government should ensure to include every BPL family in the scheme. He also castigated state government for ill planned launching of PMAY and said that earlier poor people were made to suffer with NFSA lists and now PMUY has also been started on ill planned manner to haunt people. |
