Early Times Report samba, Nov 7: Two Tata Mobile-borne persons, who had Friday last robbed a factory worker of cash, a cellphone and documents, were today arrested by police. They were identified as Mohammad Yousaf alias Faga, son of Allah Ditta of Sarore Nehar, and Vikram Babool, son of Yashpal Babool of Miran Sahib. One Rakesh Singh, son of Arjun Singh of Uttrakhand (at present UFLEX- II, Bari Brahmana), lodged a written report with Bari Brahmana police station, stating therein that he was on way to railway station, Bari Brahmana, at about 8.30 pm on Friday when a Tata Mobile (5657/JK21B) stopped near him. The driver and his accomplice told him that he would get the train from Vijaypur Railway Station as it won't stop at Bari Brahmana Railway Station. On their insistence that they would drop him at Vajaypur railway station, he boarded the vehicle. However, instead of taking him to the railway station, they took him to an isolated place where they snatched from him a cash of Rs 12,500, a cellphone and a bag containing his clothes and original documents, ie school certificates, bank passbook and a passport. Taking cognizance of the report, police swung into action and arrested both the accused. Rs 12,500 of cash, two mobiles and the bag were recovered from them, police sources said. They have been booked under relevant sections of law. |
