Kathua Nov 9: A Peace March was held at Kathua Town under a joint banner of Pakistan India People Forum for Peace and Democracy (PIPFPD),Mahila Adhikar Sangathan, Samajik Insaf Manch, IDP, Aman Committee ,CPM and other democratic individuals and organizations. Raising slogans against war mongers, the raliest demanded for peace initiates to bring an end to border hostilities which are affecting the normal life of border dwellers. Led by Master Sardar Singh, Balkar Singh, Master Sewa Ram, B L Kandley, Kali Dass, Santosh Khajuria, Rajani Kumari, Ram Bushan, Kuldeep Singh, Ram Pal Gupta, Gian Khajuria, Ram Dass, Ajit Sharma, Loveleen and Sonu Sharma the participants including women, youth and farmers from border villages marched through various markets of Kathua.
IDP patron and National Coordinator, Aman Committee, India demanded martyrdom status to the civilian who have lost their lives due to firing of mortars in cease fire violations.
I D Khajuria demanded that India and Pakistan should shun the path of confrontation and urged both nations should sign No War Agreement. |
