Early Times Report

Jammu Nov 9: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) in a meeting held here today welcomed the Durbar Move in Jammu and hoped that the state Govt shall have a working tenure to address the problems of the state people including those who have been disturbed by the cross border firing. Speaking in this meeting appealed to the government to take safety measures by providing them family wise Pucca Bunkers on war footing.
During the meeting members criticized the Congress which decided to take a protest march for court arrest on Nov 7 - the opening day of Durbar at winter capital- Jammu and said it only reflects Congress wants to disturb Jammu region like that of Kashmir over the non-issues and are acting like a frustrated fish out of water. Speakers vehemently criticized the protest march of Congress which had ruled the state independently upto 1975 and then as a coalition partner with National conference (NC). The speakers stated that Mehbooba Mufti is reaping now what has been sown by Congress and NC together through their anti people policies.
"They never did social justice with the poor people of the state, particularly with the state OBCs and the state OBCs are still in lurch because of denial of due share as per Apex Court's judgement of 1992; even failed to raise the limit of creamy layer from 4.5 lakh to 6 lakh which the centre Govt did in 2013.
"Such protests and court arrests cannot convince the people of state as disturbing Jammu like Kashmir valley cannot be the acceptable, members said. Pointing out for corruption they both NC and Congress) must introspect whether they gave a corruption free rule, they questioned .
M R Bangotra (Retd CEO), Prof Kali Dass (Gen Secretary) and others addressed this meeting.
