| Dilapidated roads cause of worry for pedestrians, commuters | | | M S Nazki

Poonch, Nov 9: Due to bad condition of Naka Manjhari Balakote Mendhar Suran roads, the public is facing difficulties while travelling. Talking to media, people of the area said that the condition of roads is in poor condition and due to the pathetic condition of roads the commuters, students and pedestrians are facing huge inconvenience every day,
According to the residents of Naka Manjhari Balakote Mendhar and Suran, the roads in the area are bumpy and dotted with potholes. They said that due to the bad condition of the roads, the transporters avoid plying of their vehicles and the villagers have to walk by foot to reach to their respective destinations.
"The employees and students fail to make to their work places and educational institutions respectively on time as the public transport barely plies on these dilapidated roads," said Er M R Kazafi a local resident.
He further said that the number of Tata sumo drivers and bikers has lost their control on these roads and scores of vehicles have been damaged. The authorities are well aware of the traffic flow on these roads but do not take any action for repairing these roads.
The residents sought the intervention of District Adminstration Poonch and Chief Engineer R&B in this regard. |
