Jammu, Nov 10: In continuation to the drive against the bike lifters under operation 'Chetak' launched by SSP Jammu Sunil Gupta, Akhnoor police claimed to have busted a gang of bike lifters with the with the arrest of three bike lifters besides recovering of stolen bikes worth Rs 3,80,000/-. Police spokesman today said, " During the naka checking at Khuga Morh and Chowki Choura three motor cycle lifters namely Aashiq Khan of Tuli Tehsil Mahore, Reasi, Mohd. Imran of Challas Morha, Rajouri and Sanjay Kumar alias Makhan of Tandwal, Rajouri were arrested.' "The accused were arrested in a case under FIR No 160/2015 u/s 379 of RPC and 65/2016 u/s 457 and 380 of RPC," police spokesperson said, adding, "five stolen motor cycles were recovered on their disclosures." Spokesman further said that with the recovery of stolen motorcycles, one case registered under FIR No 74/2016 u/s 379 of RPC at City Police Station and two cases registered at Sunderbani have been worked out and property of worth RS 3,80,000 by the Police team of Police Post Chowki Choura and Police Station Akhnoor.
