Accused cop enjoys impunity as mantri's aide shields him Influential SHO publicly beats BJP leader for opposing eve-teasing 11/10/2016 11:27:00 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 10: After brutal beating of Bajrang Dal workers by one SHO posted in a police stations of Jammu city, a mandal president of BJP was given a severe thrashing by another SHO posted in a police station located in the outskirts of the city. BJP Mandal president, who has joined politics after serving RSS for more than 20 years, was beaten by the SHO only for opposing eve-teasing. The incident took place a month back but the party leadership has failed to convince its ministers to ask police higher ups to take action against the SHO who has supported eve-teasers and brutally beaten a senior BJP leaders for opposing eve-teasing. Credible sources said that a month back, the senior BJP leader has observed on way to his house that some youth were indulged in eve-teasing some passers-by girls in the outskirts of the city. When the leader opposed eve-teasing he was attacked by them. The BJP leader was supported by the locals who stopped the eve-teasers from attacking BJP leader. In the meantime SHO reached the spot and publicly beaten the BJP leaders. It is alleged that the eve-teasers were close to the SHO. Shockingly BJP leaders and other workers brought the matter to the notice of senior leaders including state president but no action has been taken against the SHO. The matter was also brought to the notice of the BJP ministers also but they failed to provide justice to the senior leader, who was humiliated by an SHO without any reason. Credible sources said that the said SHO, who has beaten a hardcore BJP leader, also has patronage of a powerful businessman of the city who is close aid, advisor and mentor of the senior BJP minister. It is all due to support of this businessman that no action has been taken against the SHO because this businessman is more powerful than ministers themselves.
