"Dis naar" "Tsonus balaai" | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 10: A state which is facing power deficit of more than 20 percent i.e. around 494 megawatts owns a power development corporation whose Managing Director Shah Faisal defends his 'purported advisory role in other departments' on his social networking page. The IAS officer recently wrote a long post titled "Dis Naar (To hell with it)" Tsonus Balaai (It's not worth). In his Facebook post, the 'young and politically correct IAS officer from Kashmir valley' went on to issue certificates of 'who is doing Journalism and who is not." Shah Faisal writes "Both have on their payroll, reporters who are either runaway rowdies from other newspapers or rogues and semi-literate rabble who took to "journalism" because they could not get a job anywhere else." In his impressive and scholarly style of writing, Shah Faisal has dwelt in detail on why stories appear against him in particular newspapers and why he is and his ideal are a darling elsewhere where they write frequently. He has seemingly used resources in his command to find out who all are runaway rowdies from other newspapers or rogues and semi-literate rabble who took to "journalism" because they could not get a job anywhere else. He even knows who is a qualified Journalist and who is not? He has even certified that a few newspapers in Jammu and Kashmir are error free and only those working in these newspapers know the art of writing. But amid all this, this young IAS officer has no time to let his 4896 Facebook friends know what all he did in the education department in Kashmir valley apart from being a newsmaker from day 1 of his joining the Indian Administrative Services (IAS). He is silent on why he was transferred within 14 months after being posted as Director School Education (DSE) Kashmir on August 22, 2016. He was transferred and posted as Managing Director of SPDC on October 16, 2016. Yet he was last seen attending an event with his mentor Education Minister Nayeem Akhtar. Though there is nothing bad in taking interest in other department but a state which is acute power crisis deserves a Managing Director in SPDC who means business from day 1. It is good to be honest, dedicated, straightforward and tech-savvy but issuing certificates of merit and honesty should be left to the commoners since they are the best judges. He loves his Facebook wall more than those IAS officers whose exemplary contribution J&K would never forget. The doers have long left the state government services and the remaining are working silently to ensure that developmental activities in this trouble torn state do not stop. State has both IAS as well as KAS officers whose art of writing leaves even experts speechless but it is only the over-ambitious ones who use their self-proclaimed concern for honesty, integrity, humanity, human rights, socialism, secularism and educational standards as tool for their personal growth. And it is these over-ambitious ones who should better concentrate on repairing J&K's economy and correcting the wrongs perpetuated by earlier regimes which they would often talk about in their long lectures prior to joining the government in different capacities. Shah Faisal quotes one of these over-ambitious bosses and writes "Interestingly my boss who had called me to Jammu for that meeting laughed all the way after reading this nonsense once I told him about the background of the story." Since, Journalist is also a part of the same apathic crowd who respond to every insult with "dis naar" and "tsonus balai"! And consider criticism by those in the corridors of power as a badge of honour. |
