| Absenteeism at Sheep Husbandry deptt Poonch, people demand probe | | |  Rajesh Tandon

Poonch, Nov 10: A great resentment is brewing among locals in Poonch as the employees of government offices especially the Sheep Husbandry Deptt Poonch often remain absent from their offices affecting the normal life of people which comprises farming class mainly.
According to the sources, there was no employee in the office of Sheep Husbandry Poonch on Thursday when a large number of locals visited the said office to get their cattle examined for various ailments but their surprise none was present in the office. Raising the issue to the media persons, for early redressal, locals alleged that there was only one person present in this district level office which is expected to cater a large number of live-stock population. When reporter just to substantiate facts of the claims of locals visited the aforesaid office of Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Poonch to take stock of the situation but to his surprise none but only a lower rung employee was present. Reporter when contacted to Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Dr V K Bhalla on his mobile to get officials comments in this regard by all attempts turned futile as the official didn't respond to reporter's call. Meanwhile irked over prevalent absenteeism, the Poonch people have appealed to Deputy Commissioner Poonch Mohammed Harun Malik to intervene into matter personally and conduct an inquiry into the matter. |
