Ramban, Nov 10: Common Review Mission (CRM) team comprising eight members today concluded its five day tour of Ramban district to assess the progress made under National Health Mission and other centrally sponsored schemes in health sector. The team comprising Dr Satish Kumar, Dr Tanu Kathuria, Dr Sonia Luna Jenita Khawairakpam, Dr Sandeep Chauhan, Dr Shariq Ali Khan, Lakshmi Parvathy and Vandana Chaudhary visited 6 villages covering 15 health institutions, 6 schools and two Anganwadi centres. The team reviewed the health related services being provided to the local people. Official spokesperson said that the team further interacted with the doctors and para medical staff working in these health institutions and took feedback on problems being faced by the field functionaries. They also assessed the institutions on parameters of overall management, implementation of schemes and sanitation Later the team also called on the District Development Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Aijaz and submitted its feedback report besides necessary suggestions for improving the health services in the district. They appreciated the availability of drugs with medical aid centres, role of ASHAs, ANMs and outreach in terms of disbursement of financial assistance to beneficiaries. At the same time they stressed for setting up of blood bank in the district, placing adequate number of pediatrician in the institutions and improving sanitation and allied facilities in some health institutions. Other suggestions made by the team are establishing grievance redressal mechanism, strengthening of first referral units, timely preparation of record, regular VHSNC meets. During the visit of central team Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Ramban, State Nodal Officer ASHA, Dy CMO, MS DH Hospital, District Nodal Officer ISM Ramban, District Health Officer Ramban, BMOs and others cooperated the team. |
