Samba, Nov 10: The District Information Centre, Samba today organized a general awareness cum interaction programme at Barrian in collaboration with ICDS Project Samba and 'Astitav Theatre and Musical group' from Songs and Drama Division, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt of India. The participants were apprised about various development and women empowerment schemes being run by the central and state govts. Speaking on the occasion, CDPO Samba Deepak Kumar emphasised on significant role of field functionaries as they play a pivotal role in success of govt schemes. He called for developing good interpersonal skills as it can help them in better understanding of problems being faced in scheme implementation at the ground level. The cultural troupe presented songs and skit on gender imbalance and discrimination against the girl child. Jyoti, Reena, Neena, Rajni, Darshana and Popinder from ICDS also spoke on various schemes like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Ujjwala Yojana, Ladli Beti and Swachh Bharat Mission. DIO Samba Vishav Pratap Singh, supervisors Tripta Devi, Sudesh Kumari, Prem Rajni, AWW's and AWH's from Nanke Chak and Dagore were also present on the occasion. |
