Protest against BRO held, sub-standard material used to construct culverts 11/28/2016 10:32:16 PM Early Times Report Kathua, Nov 28: People hailing from Nagri town held huge protest demonstration against BRO and pointed out its working while constructing 10 km long road from Nagri to Narote Jaimal Singh. Dev Raj, Comrade , led the protest and alleged on BRO to use sub-standard concrete materials while constructing Culverts on the way. He said," dust instead of sand and low ratio of cement are being used resulting few small bridges got damaged right after construction," and added that sub-standard material would not be tolerated anymore. There are allegations of misuse of cement meant for construction work. Subash Verma, Karnal Singh, Parshtom Lal and Mohinder Singh said that people approached BRO and pointed out the construction work but they always gave deaf hearing to people's voice. He added that people expected standard work from BRO but its level of working got down to any other construction agency.
