Dy CM claims to provide 24X7 hours power supply, 100 families in darkness for fortnight | | |  Early Times Report
Kathua, Nov 28: A large number of people hailing from village Saidpur today come out on road against negligence of Power development department as an Electrical transformers suddenly fell down a fortnight ago resulting no power supply in entire area but nobody from department side took initiative to restore power supply in the area. The protesters said Dy Chief Minister Nirmal singh claims for big stages to provide 24x 7 power supply in BJP rule but reality at ground differ from his chest throbbing claims to make people fool. A historical temple where hundreds of people thronged everyday is in complete darkness for fortnight but Dy CM claims for uninterrupted power supply. Anil Puri, a priest of Bala sundari ( Historical temple) who led the protest said," Priests perform worship in complete darkness, agricultural land and study of students are badly affected but despite of having knowledge of all these, no PDD man rush on spot to inspect the loss due to damage of electrical transformer." Ashok Verma , a local said," People approached to concerned officers but all got vain resulting protest demonstration against PDD that can turn more aggressive if power supply is not restore within hours." The protesters alleged on negligence of the officials who pushed people into darkness for last fortnight. They threatened to block Kathua- Nagri road unless restore of power supply in the area as 2000 people especially students affected the most due to unavailability of power. |
