Why did he demonetize high currency notes or notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000? There were potent and most urgent reasons for that. Had he not done so, things in India would have worsened and the nation would have suffered a grievous injury. It was Pakistan and its evil design which left the Prime Minister with no other option but to demonetize the high currency notes. His target was Pakistan more than the Congress, the Left and similar other outfits, which had been opposing the Prime Minister's what is being termed as a "revolutionary step" against black money and counterfeit currency. It was Major general (retired) Gagandeep Bakshi who has broken the news that it was because of the Pakistani game plan that the Prime Minister did what he did on November 8. According to the General, "Pakistan had five presses ready to print 15 trillion of Indian currency notes". He has further said: When this intelligence was received to Prime Minister from secret agencies it was now and never situation for him. Arl Harbour situation.
