JTC, SKF allege Govt failure to rehabilitate KPs in Valley

Jammu, Dec 16: A joint meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee and Soan Kashmir Front J&K alleged that since the date the Kashmiri Pandit community was forced to leave their homes and herths in Kashmir valley the Government had assured for permanent rehabilitation of this community in a safe and secure place in Kashmir valley but nothing in this direction has been done till date.
A meeting held under the Chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita, President and attended by the office bearers and members of both the committees and PCC Migrant Cell Jagti, Nagrota.
While addressing the Participants, he said that Central as well as state Government for ensuring early permanent rehabilitation of this community in Kashmir valley in a safe and secure township. He further said that since the date of migration of Pandit community the pandit families have suffered huge loss of their properties due to damages to their properties in Kashmir Valley. A demand has been made for grant of one time compensation of Rs. 1 crore to each and every Migrant family.
The employment Package announced by the then Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh has not yet been implemented in letter and spirit as only approximately 2000 posts have been filled leaving approximately 4000 Posts yet to be filled. He said that the coliation Government of PDP and BJP have totally ignored this migrant community by depriving them of their rights. He also said that it seems that the coalition Government of PDP and BJP is not interested in permanent rehabilitation of this migrant community and implementing the PMs employment package in its letter and spirit.
Among others who were present in the meeting were Raj Kumar Tickoo, Kashi Nath Bhat, Sunil Koul, RK Raina, Raj Kumar Bhat, Mithan Pandita, CL Pandita, SL Kar, Hari Krishan Pandita, Deepak Razdan, ML Aima, RK Pandita, Ramesh Bhat, Satesh Pandita, SL Bhat and other.
