KUPWARA, Dec 16: Early times had carried a series of stories in the recent past about the transfer of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, due to which various departments were headless from past various months in this north Kashmir district Today the government of Jammu and Kashmir transferred Ghulam Mohammad Dar (KAS), Deputy Commissioner Shopian, and posted him as Deputy Commissioner Kupwara vide order no: 1374-GAD of 2016, dated 16-12-2016. Rasikh Rasool RTI activist said that, "it seems that the state government of Jammu and Kashmir has taken cognizance of early times report today. Early Times has become a voice of common masses as this is the only news paper of J&K which is highlighting the problems and burning issues of our society, said Rasikh. However a group of people told early times that, "other top posts should be also filled so that the sufferings of common masses will come to an end. Pertinently on Dec 12, MLA Langate had locked down the main gate of DC office Kupwara as a mark of protest against failure of the government to fill up the post of Deputy Commissioner which was lying vacant since last month. However Engineer Rashid had warned government to fill up the post within four days or be ready to face mass agitation. Meanwhile early times had carried a story, DC Kupwara's transfer leaves scores of departments headless on Dec 10, after which it carried another story despite being a Law maker, MLA Langate locked down DC office Kupwara on Dec 13. It is important to mention here that, former Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Kumar Rajeev Ranjan (IAS) was transferred and posted as Additional Secretary to the Government, Tribal Affairs Department vide government order no: 2160-GAD of 2016 dated 18/11/2016. |
