Poonch, Dec 16: A full grown leopard has been spotted in Bassumi Village of balkote area compelling the locals to stay indoors in fear physocis while as the wildlife Department was unmoved to take any action sources said here today
Giving information about the leopard’a presence in village , some locals alleged that they have been constantly calling the office of wild life department here but they seem to be unmoved. It is said that a full grown leopard was spotted by some locals in Bassumi Village of Balakote in the wee hours of Thursday. People remained indoors and did not allow their children to go to school. Despite repeated calls to Wildlife Department no action was taken nor any one from Govt side came for rescue which added further fuel to fire. Chairman Balkote Youth club Er. Majid Kahatana in an appeal to to district administration urged for immediate deployment of Wild Life Department rescue team to Bassumi Village to capture the wild animal so that people of the village can have sigh of relief , sources said. |
