Chenani/Udhampur , Dec 16: But for a bridge on Kud naalah, 10 villages suffer. The successive governments have failed to connect ten villages situated on the other side of Kud Nallah (River) in Basti Illa in Bain Panchayet of district udhampur forcing the the people to cross the river on a daily basis while risking their lives.
Around 15,000 to 20,000 Population of over ten villages of Bain Panchayet especially Students, old aged persons and mostly the patients have been facing difficulties while crossing the Kud Nallah in absence of a bridge.
Not only the previous but the current coalition too has failed to construct a bridge over the Kud Nallah.
Majority of students cannot attend their school regularly as the river has heavy inflow of water during monsoon, said a local student .
Despite repeated pleas to the public representatives and officials concerned nothing has been done till date and the bridge is still a 'distant dream.
