Early Times Report

Jammu, Dec 16: : Reminiscing the dents of betrayal inflicted by the BJP-PDP alliance on the people of Jammu Pradesh, Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP adjured all sects of the society including traders, shopkeepers, businessmen, youth, social organizations, students and intellectuals to observe peaceful Jammu Bandh on Dec 17th in protest against coalition govt's decision to extend ex-gratia to militants families.
While addressing the media, Singh recalled the sinister intentions of the coalition government came to fore when immediately after being sworn in to power, it blatantly gave credit to Pakistan for the conduct of smooth and hassle free Assembly elections.
He said that the real face of BJP was exposed for remaining a clueless spectator when shortly after assuming the reign of affairs, the State government issued orders to release Masrat Alam, a dreaded separatist leader who spewed venom against the country to incite seditious activities in Kashmir. He said these two shocking incidents rocked the entire Dogra fraternity which overwhelmingly mandated the Saffron Party in anticipation that it would liberate them from the clutches of decades old socio-political discrimination.
Singh revealed that the release of the separatist leader and open space to subversives and other anti-national forces gave a fresh lease of life to the secessionist forces in the valley who continued to abet youngsters to pelt stones at the security personnel and openly wave Pak/ISIS flags to create civil unrest.
Singh said that the exasperated BJP further issued proxy deadline through the Governor to the Army for vacating the land from certain zones in Kashmir, besides removal of bunkers in a bid to move forward on the PDP centric "Agenda of Alliance". He reckoned that the strategy further emboldened the secessionists and the anti national elements who were hell bent to erase the foot prints of the Army from Kashmir. He maintained that the proposals of Sainik Colonies and KP Townships were also in cold storage by the BJP-PDP Govt. to keep the separatists in good humour. He said that refusal to issue Dogra Certificate, enhancement of taxes on Helicopter services to Mata Vaishno Devi Ji and recommendations for opening of Nepal route for return of militants were some of the other narratives that had revealed the anti Jammu and pro separatist stance of the present dispensation.
