Petition over alleged fake permissions of 'gun manufacturing' disposed off 12/16/2016 11:42:33 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 16: A local court has disposed of one more petition challenging the status of some gun manufacturing units alleging that they are functional with fake and tempered licences. In a latest development counsel appearing for the petitioner contented that petitioner after coming to know that licenses in possession of unit holders were issued in their favour by Government of India and thence requested respondents including Inspector General of Police (IGP) Crime Branch and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Crime Branch Jammu for withdrawal of complaint filed against private respondents. Counsel for the petitioner also submitted that petitioner would be satisfied if the petition is disposed off without issuing notice to other side with a direction to the respondents, particularly above said respondents to accord consideration to the withdrawal application filed by petitioner on 14-03-2016 for withdrawal of complaint PV 99/2012 against private respondents.
