| Sterlite technologies distribute blankets to poor | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 18: Sterlite Technologies today organized Blankets Distribution activity in Gurha Bakshi Nagar to distribute blankets to the deserving winter affected people as part of it's CSR programme.
The company who is already implementing NFS project for Indian Army in the state of Jammu and Kashmir distributed the blankets to the poor people of Gurha Bakshi Nagar and Bhagwati Nagar.
Other prominent social activists present were Pawan Sharma, Vinay Sharma, Captain M.R Sharma, Manjeet Singh, Ravi Sharma and Janak Raj.
The noted Social workers Pawan Sharma and Vinay Sharma while applauding the humanitarian efforts of Sterlite Technologies expressed that the company's act of distributing blankets is a philanthropic initiative to support the underprivileged sections of the society and such initiatives at the grassroots level go a long way in helping the poor people who need support from the society.
Appreciating the efforts of Sterlite they further said that we might feel warm sitting in sweaters and cozy blankets in our homes, but for those who sleep on cold, bare earth without a sweater the winter is still very harsh and when the corporate like Sterlite comes with such an initiative it is always incredible.
People of the area extend their gratitude to the officials of the company who come all the way for such a generous activity and expect them to extend the benefits of other CSR initiatives to the needy people of the society. |
