| Tehsildar Vijaypur takes DC samba for a ride | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 18: The tehsildar Vijaypur has ignored the orders of Deputy Commissioner Samba despite repeated reminders.
Sources told Early Times that over a disputed piece of land under Khasra No. 1536 situated at Village Bagla Rahya had been declared as State land by previous SDM Vijaypur but concerned Tehsildar didn't execute the order.
Although Deputy Commissioner Samba, taking note of the delay tactic of the Tehsildar Vijaypur Iqbal Singh, summoned him at her office many time and reprimanded him for not executing the order but shrewd Tehsildaralways made lame excuses before DC for not implementation of order citing busy schedule in discharging other officials works, they said further adding that even incumbent SDM Vijaupur has also failed to get this work done on priority.
"The entire issue shows that how helpless is the Deputy Commissioner Samba that she even had to face tough time to get implemented a order from her juniors who always succeed in giving dodge to her on one pretext or other," they maintained. They further alleged that Tehsildar Vijaypur openly challenged the other party saying that however hard they may try but he would not execute order at any cost and the concerned SDM is playing the role of a mute spectator in this case.
Moreover, the Divisional Commissioner Jammu office also took the cognizance of the matter and issued letter No. 901/DivCom/JKCMGC/Samba/65859 to DC Samba to look into the matter on urgent basis and asked to take necessary action in this matter, they informed.
Pertinently, the previous SDM Vijaypur had issued an order for the implementation of order-SDM/V/04 dated 14-07-2015 in which the land was declared by him as State land under section 24 of Big Landed Estate Abolition Act, 2007BK and asked the Tehsildar to get mutation of the said land remove all encroachment and also seize the all material and kept the same into the custody of the police and to initiate proceeding section 145 Cr PC in land but the order could not be implemented. Now present SDM also directed the Tehsildar under order No.SDM/ V/2016-17/2037 dated 30/11/2016 to comply with the order but again he remain adamant not didn't execute it. |
