BJP disrespects Pt Prem Nath Dogra by organizing low level football tournament

Jammu, Dec 18: Just for political mileage the BJP had organized a football tournament in the name of Sher-e-Duggar Pandit Prem Nath Dogra but poor participation of important clubs in the tournament is an indication that BJP has disrespect Pandit Prem Nath Dogra, founder of the Praja Parishad.
BJP had organized that tournament to counter Sher-e-Kashmir Memorial tournament but most of the prominent teams of Jammu city had boycotted the event due to arrogant attitude of BJP leaders, who were organizers of the tournament.
Shockingly BJP today shamelessly felicitated Football Tournament Management Committee despite the fact by organize such level of tournament BJP had rather disrespected a tall leader Pandit Prem Nath Dogra.
As reported in the media, the clubs which had not participated in the tournament alleged that the party had conducted the tournament by violating the norms.
BJP had organised the tournament on the pattern of the Sher-e-Kashmir Football Tournament, which had been an annual feature for the past several years. The tournament was organised to commemorate the memory of National Conference (NC) leader Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah.
As reported in the media main local football clubs, like NGR, Vijay Club, Young Star, Young Heroes, Churchill Brothers, J&K Bank, etc, which are a regular participants in the other football tournaments, including the Sher-e-Kashmir, had not participated in the tournament.
Meanwhile, according to an official handout, in a function held at Trikuta Nagar office, BJP state President and MLA Sat Sharma, State General Secretary (organization) Ashok Koul, State Sports Club Chairman & MLA Rajesh Gupta, MLA Sunderbani Ravinder Raina,Jammu West District President Ayodhya Gupta and Jammu district President Baldev Singh Billawaria, presented momenmtos to each member of the committee. The function was attended by a large number of party activists from Jammu and adjoining areas.
Sat Sharma, while congratulating State Sports Club for organizing such a big tournament successfully, said that it has happened for the first time that a sport event has been started in the name of a leader from Jammu. He said that this highest cash award tournament will be an annual event now and it was among one of the party's six main festivals to be organized every year. He said that Pt. Premnath Dogra himself was a very good player of football, hence the BJP has dedicated the "Good Cup" tournament to Pt. Premnath Dogra.
