Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 18: An urgent meeting of Teachers Guild Jammu & Kashmir was held today at its head quarter Circular Road Jammu. The meeting was conveyed by its State General Secretary Vijay Kumar Sharma on demand by its Toto core group. The meeting was chaired by its State President Nasir Ahmed Qurashi besides the representatives from the different districts of Jammu province and the members of central body of TGJK attended the meeting. The burning issues of the school education department were discussed in threadbare. The issues deliberated upon are; release of salaries of the teachers, masters, headmasters working against the SSA and RMSA schemes, selection grade for teachers, harassment on the name of screening test of R-e-T teachers, Enhancement of HRA in rural areas, Promotion of teachers/masters as Headmasters and Lecturers in various subjects, regularization of headmasters, lecturers and principals, adjustment of masters promoted under DPC 2014, Cash-in-lieu, Pay from overall cadre for surplus teachers, masters and lecturers, Exemption of teachers from non-teaching assignments, Clear transfer policy for R-e-T Teachers and Deputation of teachers for regular B.Ed. trainings. The main issue which came into discussion was deputation of teachers for regular B.Ed. courses. In this regard Nasir Ahmed Qurashi, State President of the Teachers Guild, expressed a deep grave concern over the non-deputation of teachers for B.Ed. training. In his presidential address Nasir Ahmed Qurashi said that it was a past routine that in-service government teachers were deputed by the Directorate of School Education for B.Ed. in Govt. PG College of Education. |
