| Revolutionary, freedom fighters paid obeisance , tributes | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 18: Shaheedi Divas of Shaheed Ashfaqulla Khan and Shaheed Ram Prasad Bismil, Desh Bhagat Yadgaar Committee paid rich tributes to the fighters of freedom.
The great revolutionary, freedom fighters were sentenced to death for the Kakori train robbery. Ram Prasad Bismil and Ashfaqulla Khan were 30 years and 27 years of age, respectively.
In this regard a one day seminar was organized at Gurudwara Guru Nanak Dev Jee Complex Chand Nagar, Jammu to pay rich tribute to them in which comrades, senior trade union leaders.
While speaking on the occasion Comrade Sukhdev Singh said Desh Bhagat Yadgar Committee salutes to fighters of freedom on their martyrdom day.
We remember and bow down to Shaheed Ashfaqulla Khan and Shaheed Ram Prasad Bismil on his martyrs day. While speaking on the occasion the participants said that both were writer and have written many articles.
The poem 'Sarfaroshi Ki Tamanna' is the most well-known poem attributed to Ram Prasad Bismil. He also written the poetry that "marte bismil roshan lahiri ashfaq atayachar se, honge paida sakdo, enke rudir ki dar." Bismil was the pen name of Pandit Ram Prasad whereas Ashfaq used to write poetry with the pen name of 'Hasrat'.
