Udhampur, Dec 18: Visitors and judges at the Udhampur court premises are greeted by foul smell and flies as there is no proper sanitation system in place. One of the important premises of the administration in the town, has turned into a huge garbage dump with some careless employees and , lower staff and visitors dumping their waste outside the main entrance with impunity.
Even a small portion of entrance of the court complex (new premises )front of Gazetted Officials and judges rooms is being used as a dumpsite and as for toilet giving an ugly look to the face of court which is visited by no visitors including the youth ,senior citizens and bank customers of our state and others every year.
A lack of coordination between Udhampur administration authorities and the Udhampur Municipal Corporation (UMC) has made it a haven for stray dogs and cattle.
The entire area near the new premises is replete with heaps of garbage. It becomes difficult for visitors and even for the lawyers to walk through as foul smell emanating around makes it difficult stand here. said a visitor Rohit Sharma
"The administration claims to have a healthy effect of swach Bharat abhyiaan in the town but how will they create an awareness amongst the Aam Aadmi as a main mostly visited premises of the administration and law faculty of the town is projecting the premises as Nyay Ka Mandir . But the only thing that visitors remember is filth, said a social activist Barat Choudhary. |
