Once again, over speedy trailer rams two vehicles, kills one 12/5/2016 10:04:34 PM Neeraj Badyal Early Times Report Samba, Dec 5: In a tragic incident an over speedy tralla rammed two vehicles at main Chowk Samba in which one laborer got killed on spot. According to police sources, around 6:00pm, an over speeding trailer (bearing registration number PB05M-5992) on way to Jammu from Kathua, rammed two vehicles viz. a truck (JK03B 4245) and an alto car (JK21B- 1230), after hitting a pedestrian at main Chowk in Samba. Sources said that trailer (No PB05M-5992) met with accident when the driver of vehicle lost control over the trailer which dashed onto the footpath while ramming two vehicles on road after injuring a pedestrian. "The police team rushed to spot and shifted the injured to the district hospital Samba, where he was declared as brought dead, sources said, adding, "deceased has been identified as Panch Ram, son of Sahu Chamaro Sahu, resident of Chattisgarh, at present Arazi Samba." According to the eyewitnesses, the speedy trailer after crossing the divider of the road hit two other vehicles and also to a pedestrian who unfortunately got sandwiched between the vehicles and was knocked to the death. "The traffic on ever busy Jammu-Pathankot highway also remained disrupted following the accident which was restored more than two hours, he added. "We were going to market to purchase some house hold items hardly had we crossed the road than the over speedy trailer hit Panch Ram," said Sahar Bi wife of deceased. Meanwhile local police have registered a case and started further investigations. Alleging callous approach of traffic police and other law enforcing agencies, the people of Samba recalled that some six month ago in a similar incident at Main Chowk Samba atleast five people were killed and several injured when a speedy vehicle rammed in to parked vehicles on roadside. One Pardeep Sambyal of Samba demanded from the Govt to construct a flyover to be constructed made in Samba to decongest the traffic Jams which put people and school students to face a lot of problems due in crossing Main Chowk Samba. Locals said that till this time the district administration has utterly failed to started new bus stand Samba. Early times also published several news against overloading but the concerned department nothing strict action against the overloaded vehicles.
