Jammu, June 29: Taking a strong note of attack on the convoy of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) at Pampore on Jammu-Srinagar highway last week, Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) is mulling to replace paramilitary CRPF with Border Security Force (BSF) in volatile areas across Kashmir.
Sources told Early Times the MHA has directed all the security agencies to submit a detailed report about the measures and steps which could be taken to prevent militants from carrying out major strikes in volatile Kashmir Valley. "One of the proposals which is making rounds is replacing the CRPF with BSF. The CRPF is basically a Police force which is trained to tackle law and order situation, while as BSF is a trained force which can handle insurgency related incidents and can prove lethal for the militants," said a source.

Sources said Saeed's son-in-law Khalid Waleed is suspected to be the mastermind behind the Pampore attack while two of his associates identified by security agencies as Hanzla Adnan and Sajad Jat also acted as handlers to two militants who were killed in security forces retaliation fire.
