PDP holds party workers meeting | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Jan 23: In order to draw a strategy towards the development of Kishtwar District, People Democratic Party on the initiative of District General Secretary Kishtwar Suresh Sharma today held a party workers meeting here at Dak Bunglow in which senior party leaders including district youth president participated. According to press release, Suresh Sharma said that during the meeting various issues pertaining to party functioning as well as towards setting of key developmental agenda and works need to be done for the welfare and development of Kishtwar District once the government will be formed. The speakers take strong note of unscheduled power cuts, poor quality of ration supplied to government ration deports, poor condition of roads including Batote-Kishtwar National Highway, water scarcity problem and supply of unhygienic water to the inhabitants of Kishtwar, shortage of kerosene oil and its sale to minibus owners. Meanwhile, PDP Youth President Kishtwar Umar Malik without naming anyone said that some wasted interest forces are trying to the divide the PDP in Kishtwar District for some personal benefits. "We will not allow PDP to become another Congress party, a party of divided house in Kishtwar" said Malik. Malik was referring to successive downfall of Congress graph in Kishtwar due to groupism and close proximity between some NC and Congress leadership in the Kishtwar constituency. He said that any kind of indiscipline that will divide the party will not be tolerated. They warned the indiscipline party workers and advice them not to cross the party line which force the party leadership to take disciplinary action against those party leaders. Later party delegation also called on DC Kishtwar and apprised him about the various problems faced by the people of Kishtwar District. The party delegation also apologized with the administration over the indiscipline created by few party leaders inside the office of ADC Kishtwar few days back. |
