RAJOURI, Jan 23: Most of the people living in for flung areas in Rajouri district have been complaining that the Consumer Affairs & Public Distribution (CAPD) department officials have failed to provide cheap ration at government shops and the poor people are left with no option than to purchase ration from open market at high prices.
The majority of the population in remote areas in Kotranka and Budhal tehsils belongs to Below Poverty Line (BPL) category and facing many hardships in feeding their families in the absence of government ration which include wheat, sugar, rice, atta etc.

Sukhpal Singh, SDM , Kotranka has assured the protesters about streamlining the ration supply process through government run shops and also assured action against erring dealers if found involved in corrupt practices.
