ARTO Reasi challans 40 vehicles 1/23/2015 9:09:39 PM Early Times Report Reasi, Jan 23: Assistant Regional Transport officer (ARTO), Rajesh Gupta during day long drive against violation of traffic rules in Katra and adjoining areas penalized 40 vehicles plying on different routes in Katra for various traffic violations and seized one autorickshaw also. According to ARTO Reasi, most of the vehicles violated traffic norms in respect of over loading, plying without prescribed uniform using mobiles and music system etc. ARTO was accompanied by MVD Inspector Vikas Srivats and traffic police officials during the checking. The people were educated about the traffic norms and were stressed upon to help in effective implementation of these rules. He also informed the people about their duties while traveling and said that it is the prime duty of the common citizen to raise voice against overloading and use of mobile phones by the drivers at the time of driving. He also issued stern warning to the drivers of passenger vehicles to strictly adhere to the traffic rules to avoid any action from the department.
