2 narco smugglers held with 65 kg poppy straw 1/23/2015 10:59:08 PM Early Times Report Udhampur, Jan 23: Police today arrested two narcotic smugglers along with 65 kgs of poppy straw (bhukki) which was recovered from their possession during naka checking at JakhaniChowk in Udhampur on Jammu Srinagar highway on Friday. As per police sources, on specific inputs, a police team led by SHO Udhampur Mahesh Sharma intercepted an Indica car near JakhaniChowk on Jammu Srinagar highway. "During checking, the police team recovered 65 kilograms of poppy straw (bhukki) and arrested the two accused who have been identified as Jasbir Singh and Baljeet Singh both residents of Hoshiyarpur Punjab, police sources said adding that vehicle also was seized.
