Police directs hoteliers to keep records of visitors, install CCTVs | | | Rajouri, Jan 23 : In the wake of alleged attempts of rapes/rapes being committed by the anti-social elements/ criminals in the local hotels, the Rajouri police today called a meeting of the owners/managers of the hotels situated in and in the vicinity of Rajouri city and issued precautionary directions to maintain vigil over such elements including to install CCTV cameras at reception counter /on entry gates and corridors of the hotels. Police sources said, following the directions from AK Attri, DIG police Rajouri-Poonch range and DrHaseebMughal,SSP the meeting was held at Police Station Rajouri and was chaired by Tajinder Singh, Additional SP and was assisted by Yashpal Singh SHO. During this meeting police officials asked hoteliers to install CCTV cameras inside reception centre/all the corridors of the hotels, to maintain proper records of entry of the persons and their identities, details/ purposes of the visitors. Police sources said that hoteliers also directed to furnish these details with concerned police stations on or after 11pm on daily basis. "Owners/managers of the hotels have also been directed to get the character and antecedents of the hotel employees verified through concerned police stations, police sources said. Among prominent hotel owners/managers some have been identified as Bharat Bhusan Gupta (M/s Mother Land and Bharat International) etc. , Pushpinder Gupta (M/s AK Guest House), Shiv Rattan (M/s Hotel Peer Panjal), VipenSahwney (M/s Hotel Aashirwad), Haji Abdul Rashid (M/s Moon Star), SrRajnder Singh (M/s Hotel Simran), MohdIqbal (M/s Hotel Welcome), GulzarHussain (M/s Hotel Gulzar) etc. |
